For the experience of other parents.

You have come to the right place. I started The Challenging Child for parents just like you. Parents who try every method possible to discipline, encourage, and help their child succeed. Parents who work with schools, child care centers, and professionals to get the support and assistance they need.

I hope this will be a place for the sharing of ideas and experiences to build a community of people who want to help and support each other and the challenging children we parent.

I am the parent of a challenging child. My challenging child just happens to be 28 years old. I hope that what I have learned will be useful to other parents who are struggling with questions, fears, and a lack of support. Sharing resources and ideas can make the sometimes difficult journey of parenting much easier.

Parenting these special children can be exhausting, exhilarating, and rewarding. Knowing that other parents care and want the best for your child as well as their own, can be refreshing. If you have advice or an idea, we can all learn new and helpful things. Let’s help each other help our children thrive.
